local economic development
A local economic development (LED) strategy can be defined as a plan that outlines the vision, objectives, and action plan for promoting economic growth and development in a specific geographic area, such as a municipality or region.
The LED strategy focuses on improving the local business environment to support the increase in employment opportunities, and enhancing the quality of life for residents.
Our LED approach is designed to bring together various stakeholders, including government agencies, business organizations, and community groups, to collaboratively address economic challenges and opportunities in the local area.
This assessment tool has been used over several years to conduct baseline surveys of more than 133 municipalities across Gauteng, Eastern Cape, Mpumalanga, the Western Cape and Kwa-Zulu Natal Provinces.
